The Amizero Project Nyanza

We learned about this project via a friend, Amy Whiddett, of Emilie’s cousin Katie. Amy had worked in a school in Rwanda (Le Christ-Roi School in Nyanza) during three years voluntary service overseas (VSO) and was very disturbed by the plight of the children there and the fact that many of the children (most of whom were orphans (either because of genocide or AIDS)) had to stop going to school because of lack of funds. She therefore sought sponsorship from the UK to allow the children to stay in education. Emilie’s Charities sponsorship to date is covering the school fees of some tens of high school children.
